Investigate:
space and memory

While some people think navigating through city is a tangible perception of senses, the artist believe it is a fusion of both tangible and intangible experience. Being a constant traveler makes her more sensitive to the belonging of a place. Christina found she was constantly experiencing different places with past memory, and “the gap between the new place and the familiar place were gradually closed by the process of comparing and merging the familiarity of the place we are present and we were in the past. ” In this project, she explored how memories influence our experience of navigating the city through various processes of manipulating and making. Except for the extensive material palette she has created, she also experimented with the concept virtually and digitally, including image manipulation, a combination of physical garment and projection in motion, and video documenting all the processes to put my experimentation into context.
